Niederfrank’s is one of San Diego’s oldest ice cream makers. They’re still making ice cream the old fashioned way in the original production facility (circa 1948, which also houses a scoop shop). One of my favorite flavors is the red mint chip, which you can get right from the source, or from ice cream parlors all over San Diego, including The Daily Scoop, a cute little shop in South Park.
