November is a big month for food events in San Diego. There are two biggies (Beer Week and the San Diego Bay Food and Wine Fest), plus other options like a Diwali celebration downtown, an autumn harvest dinner in Coronado, and more.

SD Beer Week
San Diego’s biggest celebration of beer includes tastings, tours, tap take-overs, and special meals at various locations across the city, concluding with the SDBW Chef Celebration and Beer Garden at The Lodge at Torrey Pines. November 2-11.

Ogawashi Opening Party
Downtown’s newest sushi spot is offering guests 25% off their tab at their official opening party on November 10th. Other highlights include specials, samples, and giveaways. There’s tons to try, including sushi, noodle dishes, vegetarian options, and cocktails. Check out the menu.

East Village Grub Sprawl: Singles Serving
Grab a free wristband outside of East Village Tavern and Bowl or Bub’s at the Ballpark and grub for $5 a plate at participating restaurants in the East Village. This final Grub Sprawl event for 2012 is geared towards singles. Featured dishes skew heavily towards comfort food, and include options like chipotle glazed meatball sliders (at Knotty Barrel), and braised pork belly (at Village 631). The event concludes with an after-party at Hotel Indigo. November 12, 6-10 p.m.

Diwali Fest at Royal India
Royal India is celebrating Diwali by offering dinner for two for $39.99, featuring two appetizers, two entrees, and shahi mango dessert. 200 candles will be lit for the special event, which also includes belly dancers and complimentary henna tattoos for guests. San Diego Bay Wine & Food Fest
Billed as a “five day feast for the senses”, the festival includes cooking classes, wine tasting seminars, and special meals, including the Grand Tasting Event featuring over 70 chefs and over 700 wines being poured. November 14-18, Grand Tasting on Saturday, November 17.

Autumn Harvest Dinner at Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge
No plans on a Wednesday night? Leroy’s Kitchen + Lounge is hosting a 5-course dinner featuring produce from Crow’s Pass Farms and three proteins (quail, sablefish, and hanger steak), plus a Tahitian squash gnocchi amuse and ricotta cannoli for dessert. $60 a person, with wine pairings. November 28, 7-10 p.m.
